Delmarva Christian senior Ainsley Bell led all scorers with 17 points in a 60-6 running-clock victory over Salisbury Christian Jan. 10 in Georgetown. The Royals move to 8-0 on the season. Bell also garnered four rebounds, two assists, five steals.

It’s not unusual for a large basketball program to have a player reach the 1,000-point milestone during their career, but for a school of 165 students to have three players surpass 1,000 points during the pandemic-shortened season is totally remarkable. It’s also special that all three reached that landmark within the last two weeks of the 2021 season.
Delmarva Christian High School senior Gracie Fetterman hit her 1,000th point in the Feb. 24 win over Caravel. Jayson Handy garnered his 1,000th in the March 3 state tournament loss to Seaford. Finally, junior Sierra Troyer scored her 1,000th in the March 8 tournament loss to Woodbridge.

GREENWOOD, Del.- Behind 23 points from freshman Reghan Robinson, the Woodbridge Blue Raiders defeated Delmarva Christian 70-64 to advance to the programs first ever Final Four appearance. The Royals finished their season with a record of 10-5.
Both teams came into the Elite Eight off of big time upsets in the round of 16 on Friday. The Blue Raiders taking a rematch with Cape just six days after the Vikings defeated them in the Henlopen championship game. The Royals with the upset of the tournament, edging out No. 2 Conrad 47-45 to advance to tonights matchup with Woodbridge.
The Royals came out hot in this one, forcing turnovers and out rebounding the Raiders taking a quick 13-5 lead midway through the first. DCtook the 17-12 lead after the first. In the second quarter the ‘Bridge started to come alive. Four 3’s from Freshman Reghan Robinson in the first half sparked a comeback and a 30-29 Woodbridge lead headed to the break.
