SEATTLE, April 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/ LifeCenter Northwest is proud to announce that the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health system was recognized with 16 awards from LifeCenter Northwest s 2020 Hospital Awards, which recognize excellence in supporting life-saving organ and tissue donation.
The Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Virtual ICU (vICU), based in Tacoma, Wash., is the winner of our 2020
Donation Innovation Award. This award is presented annually to one hospital or system that demonstrates their commitment to careful evaluation of their organ donation processes and has taken specific steps to improve outcomes.

BREMERTON Inside the old Harrison hospital in Bremerton, colorful handprints and personal messages adorned the first-floor wall last week as staff bid farewell to the historic building and all of its memories.
Jeff Peterson, a registered nurse, wrote down his years of service at the Bremerton hospital: 35 years, 10 months and 21 days. “And, of course, go Cubs!” he said.
Peterson also paid tribute to a friend and co-worker who passed away in 1996. “I hadn’t thought about him in some time,” Peterson said. “Writing his name and his birth and death date, and just a quick message on the wall, it was a little emotional.”
