It is incredible place and think we are wide of other places that have this opportunity and i cant think of any that are quite as special as Treasure Island. The arts program is particularly important because it can actually make Treasure Island a destination for art in the public realm. Hat is the differences. This isnt art to be housed in a museum, it is art out in the open and in the open space in the park lands that we invest so much money into creating. We are really at the cutting edge on many different things, on the way we are treating the island in the issues of sea level rise, on the environmental aspects of the island and here we have a chance to make a impact and maybe even a world wide impact on how we handle the public art aspect.
