A proposal to establish citywide park closure hours in San Francisco was passed by a board of supervisors committee. The legislation would establish closure hours of midnight to 5 am. At most parks around the city. The proposal is an attempt to combat vandalism and Illegal Dumping in parks which cost San Francisco more than 900thousand dollars annually to clean up. Violators would face a fine of up to 100 dollars for a first offense, with escalating fines for subsequent offenses. The legislation will come in front of the full board at its october 29th meeting. The Santa Clara County Sheriffs Office says the streets are a little safer after seizing close to a million and a half dollars in drugs from a san jose home. The bust was the culmination of a two year investigation by the Sheriffs Office confiscating crystal meth, cocaine and heroin. Several weapons and 825 thousand dollars in cash. Detectives believe it is all part of a meth distribution organization. They say the operation is r
