Ma Khia Bryant: LeBron James says he fueled the wrong conversation about shooting

LeBron James said he fueled the wrong conversation about Ma’Khia Bryant after his initial tweet following the fatal police shooting of the 16-year-old Black girl in Columbus.  The Los Angeles Lakers star had tweeted and deleted YOU RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY with an hourglass emoji, accompanied by a photo of a police officer.  USA TODAY said the photo was of Columbus (Ohio) police officer Nicholas Reardon, who was identified as the officer who fired the shots that killed Bryant while responding to a call.  On Monday, James once again discussed his since-deleted tweet.  I fueled the wrong conversation about Ma’Khia Bryant and I owe it to her and this movement to change it, James said in a tweet, alongside a Vox article titled Why They re Not Saying Ma’Khia Bryant s Name.
