Five young children and a 24-year-old man were shot and killed early Tuesday at their home in Muskogee.The children’s mother also was shot, and she’s now fighting for her life at a Tulsa hospital.According to police, they received a call around 1:30 a.m. about a shooting at a home on Indiana Street. When officers arrived and before they knew the magnitude of what happened, they found the suspect holding a gun.“An officer fires at that suspect, who doesn’t drop the weapon,” said Lynn Hamlin, with the Muskogee Police Department. “That officer misses. The subject takes off running. There’s a short pursuit, and he’s taken into custody.”After a foot pursuit, police got the suspect in custody, and authorities could begin their investigation. MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) A 25-year-old Oklahoma man remained in custody Wednesday on first-degree murder complaints for the killings of his brother and five young children, police said.
Police in Muskogee said they don t yet know why Jarron Deajon Pridgeon fatally shot Javarion Lee, 24, or the children, the oldest of whom was 9. The children s mother, Brittany Anderson, was also wounded in the shootings early Tuesday and was hospitalized in Tulsa.
Police identified the slain children as Jalaiya Pridgeon, 1; Jaidus Pridgeon, 3; Harmony Anderson, 5; Neveah Pridgeon, 6; and Que’dynce Anderson, 9.
Jail records do not list an attorney who could speak on Pridgeon’s behalf.

A man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of six people, including five small children, in Oklahoma earlier this week as new details emerge in the case, according to officials and reports.
Police have arrested Jarron Deajon Pridgeon, 25, on the charge of first-degree murder for allegedly gunning down the six victims, including children ages 1, 3, 5, 6 and 9, police said. The adult victim, 24-year-old Javarion Lee, is allegedly Pridgeon’s brother.
Raven Anderson, who is an aunt to the children, told Tulsa TV station KOTV that Pridgeon was the father of three of the slain children. Police Officer Lynn Hamlin said the suspect and victims all lived in the home.

An Oklahoma man has been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting six people to death, including five children, three to whom he apparently was the father.
Twenty-five-year-old Jarron Deajon Pridgeon was arrested on Tuesday. The children were aged 1, 3, 5, 6, and 9. The adult, who succumbed to the gunshot wounds in the hospital, was allegedly Jarron’s brother, 24-year-old Javarion Lee, reported Fox.
Brittany Anderson, the children’s mother has been hospitalized after being wounded, she is now in stable condition.
Newson6 reported that the aunt of the children, Raven Anderson, said that Jarron Pridgeon was the father to three of the children that were killed.
