A 25-year-old Oklahoma man was charged with murder on Wednesday for fatally shooting his brother and five children.
Jarron Deajon Pridgeon was charged with six counts of first-degree murder, possession of firearms during probation, and shooting with intent to kill, following the incident in Muskogee earlier in the week.
Police officers responded to a call of multiple people shot in a house at around 1:30am on Tuesday, according to Muskogee investigator Lynn Hamlin.
When they arrived at the scene they found Mr Pridgeon holding a gun. He fled and was taken into custody following a brief chase on foot.

Five children, one man shot, killed in Oklahoma

Feb. 2 (UPI) Five children and a man were shot and killed in an Oklahoma home early Tuesday, authorities said.
Police responded to a call of multiple people shot at a residence in southeast Muskogee, Okla., at 1:30 a.m. where they found a suspect with a weapon, officials said.

An officer fired one round at the suspect and missed, but he was later caught following a foot chase and identified as 25-year-old Jarron Deajon Pridgeon.
When officers arrived at the scene they found four dead children and a dead man as well as a woman and child who were injured, all of whom had gunshot injuries. Three other children in the home were uninjured.
