Two Indian Navy officers cross Coimbatore during their run from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to spread awareness about non-communicable diseases | Coimbatore News

The officers – Sanjay Kumar from Haryana and Ram Ratan from Rajasthan crossed Coimbatore recently. COIMBATORE: To create awareness about Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) and to spread the message of healthy and fit India among the public, two officers from the Indian Navy started their own marathon from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. The duo planned to run 4431 kilometers through 11 states and 91 major cities in 56 days. If everything goes as per their plan, they would be the first Indians to cover the distance in 56 days and they would enter the Guinness Book of Records. In 2019, a 33-year-old woman Sufiya, native of Rajasthan, ran 4,035 kilometers from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in 87 days and two hours.
