contrast the extreme lawless leadership of joe biden with an open border, with fentanyl coming across poisoning our families and our kids, with crime surging across this country, with inflation rising, with abandoning energy independence. there is nothing good about the biden administration. so i am enjoying this. i love every candidate getting in the ring. it gives us another opportunity to contrast what republicans will do versus joe biden and the democrats. and i think we re going to take up all the oxygen until next year. i ve excited for the debate. and we always have to remember the things that separate us are so insignificant compared to the damage that s being done to our country by the democrats. jason: so i think the reason there are so many people in the race is they see a very vulnerable joe biden. i mean, sleepy does not yet even begin to cover his approach to life at this point. but because there s so many candidates, there s a lot of contention the, a a lot of
diplomacy, to our economic well-being, and we need to rebuild the military. we need to have coast guard ships in the south china sea, our naval ships in the taiwan straits telling the chinese you can t just declare massive chunks of international water withs are yours because you re bigger and you ve got the might to do it. so peace through strength is what will protect us, protect taiwan, but it ll also protect our other allies like the philippines and the asean countries, our partners in asia, from jason: yeah, there was some action off vietnam, even russia was involved in a contentious way with china. yeah. that was pretty surprising. it just shows how emboldened the chinese are. before they would have never infringed on russian rights. there s a russian-convenient that please gas bloc that s being exploited, and the chinese have sent their ships in there and acted like it was their territory. they would have never done that to the russians before, but i
nipping at each other. you already see this between governor desantis and president trump. how does the party unite at the end of this? that s the concern, is that you may support one candidate and be pretty darn upset by the time, you know, the caucuses and primaries roll. what can you roll around. what can you co, what can the party do to unite against joe biden at the end of the day? well, jason, we re going to be putting out our debate criteria soon, but we are going to have a beat biden pledge. once the dust settles, we want everybody on the debate stage to pledge we will support the republican nominee to beat joe biden. and you re exactly right, we cannot win the white house without every republican. and we saw in this in 2022. we had republicans who lost key senate races because republicans refused to support them. that is not tenable if we want to take back the white house, win the senate and keep the house. so we all have to come together, and we have to remember who we re
traditional allies of the united states of america, places where we have military bases that are now providing them with energy sources and other means that they need to advance themselves as a country. the list goes on and on of what we have to worry about when it comes to china and how they are trying to supplant the united states as the global leader and our system of free come and democracy free come and democracy because we know they re a communist country, and that is really what hay want with an alliance of north korea, russia, iran, others that will align with them on that front. that s a threat. jason: absolutely, it is a great threat. congressman, you served our country. you lost your legs serving, and we appreciate your service. but as we go into memorial day tomorrow, give us your thoughts and perspective. what will you be thinking about tomorrow for those that have given the ultimate sacrifice and laid down their lives for our country? i ve lost a lot of friends, and i
