Multiple IEDs discovered during arrest of Williamson County man Man arrested after making multiple IEDs in his Williamson County home The Williamson County Sheriff s Office says detectives have arrested a man for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs) inside his home outside the city limits of Round Rock. ROUND ROCK, Texas - Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Detectives discovered explosives while making an arrest in the Paloma Lake neighborhood near Round Rock Tuesday.  Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, detectives arrested 47-year-old John Crawson for threatening a family members. They say the incident happened last month. While making the arrest, they found multiple improvised explosive devices inside Crawson’s Santa Barbara Loop home. Detectives could not say how many explosives were located or why they were in the home. Detectives say the threat did not involve explosives. 

Williamson County man found with bombs threatened to kill officers

A Williamson County man who forced a neighborhood evacuation Tuesday threatened to burn down his house, kill law enforcement officers and commit suicide just days after authorities served him divorce papers last month, court papers show. John Christopher Crawson, 47, is charged with making terroristic threats in connection to this week s incident at his home outside Round Rock. Officials say they found homemade bombs in his house, prompting an evacuation of nearby homes. Authorities arrested Crawson on the felony charge Tuesday at his home in the 2500 block of Santa Barbara Loop. Sheriff’s Lt. Jason Braeutigam said investigators found multiple improvised explosive devices there when officers executed a search warrant.
