CDC launches VaccineFinder tool to locate Covid-19 vaccine providers

A sign showing patients where to receive their Covid-19 vaccine in Louisville, Kentucky. Cherry/Getty Images On Wednesday, federal officials quietly opened up access to VaccineFinder, a site that allows the U.S. public to search nationwide for approved Covid-19 vaccine providers. On vaccinefinder.org, users can enter an address or ZIP code and select a search area say, within 10 miles and get a list of providers with contact information, eligibility criteria, and, when available, a link to a vaccine scheduler. Critically, users will also be able to see whether each provider has doses available. VaccineFinder is an answer to scattered and siloed systems that have made it difficult for many to find timely, accurate information about where and when they can get a shot. But the site won’t help everyone, everywhere not just yet.

Yellow Jackets claim victory vs Westmoreland

Trousdale County had two nights of basketball action last week to open the 2020-21 basketball season, but came away with just one win. The Yellow Jackets (1-2) got that win on Friday at Westmoreland, coming away with a 62-53 victory. It was Trousdale’s first game with all of its players available after the football team’s semifinal run and was also the Jackets’ fourth consecutive win over the Eagles (2-2). “It’s always great having everyone back,” said TCHS coach Ryan Sleeper. “I was very pleased with the effort against a much improved Westmoreland team. I thought we excelled at applying pressure on defense. That will be our identity this season.”
