After Brenden Boatwright sunk a game-winning shot on Friday for the Fort Lewis College men’s basketball team, Akuel Kot came up big for the team on Saturday in a 79-70 win over Angelo State University.

In the final second, Boatwright sunk a 3-pointer to give the Fort Lewis College men’s basketball team an 84-81 win in its season opener on Friday ag.

Tre’vion Crawford sank a free throw coming out of a timeout to get the Lincoln Blue Tigers within two points, then two fouls sent Missouri Western’s Caleb Bennett to the free throw line. Bennett missed the front end of a one-and-one, the first missed free throw of the night for the Griffons, then Lincoln called a timeout to create its final play.
The Lincoln Blue Tigers are going for their first wins in conference play tonight when they host the Missouri Western Griffons at Jason Gym. The women’s game tips off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at 7:30 p.m.
