Pressure on church to mend its ways and root out corruption ahead of Apostlesâ gathering

Cape Town - Ahead of the Old Apostolic Church of Africa (OAC) annual conference this month, questions have been raised about the church s seriousness in rooting out alleged corruption and fraud and implementing transformation within its ranks.
The church s Apostles attend a conference twice a year, usually in March and September, where a particular theme and teaching is decided on and channelled to the officers and members.
Temporal matters are also discussed at the conference and resolutions made by the church s board of management are tabled for approval.

To honor the nearly 35,000 Californians who have died from COVID-19, a number that will sadly continue to increase, I propose the state of California plant and name one coast redwood tree for each person lost. Redwood trees can live for hundreds of years, making them ideal for memorializing our loved ones.
Furthermore, coast redwoods capture more carbon dioxide than any other tree on Earth, so we should be planting as many as possible.

A group of parents and carers of families affected by Down syndrome met with representatives of the Down Syndrome Association of Western Cape on Saturday morning (5 December).
They gathered for a breakfast at Knorhoek Manor House to discuss the establishment of the Helderberg Support Group. The meeting was organised by locals Claudia Melherbe and Anne Jacobs, who stated that the Down syndrome community in the Helderberg is a small, close-knit group of families who often have no choice but to just depend on each other.
