"The yatra will highlight issues like unemployment, price rise, corruption, police atrocities, exploitation of women, youths, farmers and anti-democratic attitude of the BJP government in the state," Chaudhary said.
Samajwadi Party (SP) is taking out "cycle yatras" across Uttar Pradesh today. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is leading the yatra to protest over a host of issues including price rise, unemployment and farm laws.
"After the immense success of the BSP s Prabuddh Varg vichar sangoshthi (intellectual conferences) in the districts of UP, the SP has now remembered Janeshwar Mishra and his community, which has faced harassment at the hands of the BJP government," Mayawati said in a tweet in Hindi.
Before pedalling down the streets of the state capital, Yadav told mediapersons at the party headquarters that the BJP government has "failed" in Covid management. The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said, "I was saying that we will win 350 seats. But seeing the anger of people, I can say we can now win 400 seats".
