He saw the scene, and he said it was an absolute disastrous mess, the worst thing he had seen in his life. Thats right. Its a pretty accurate description. You see a huge emergency response. We have a number of police firefighters, emergency crews out here waiting to respond to go in to help in the mass casualties that are reported from the derailment. A number of ambulances out here and, of course, we saw a couple of septa buses that have taken people who are injured, dozens of people who are not but also those who are visibly hurt being taken to any hospital thats accepting trauma patients at this point. Right now they are going in weve seen stretchers going back and forth. Weve seen these ambulances on hold four blocks away from the derailment waiting for more injured to come out. Now, as the socalled walking injured, people who are able to walk to an ambulance or to the bus are able to get here. We have Emergency Personnel here waiting for them. Thats where the curve in the track is. Let me show you a better view of the Train Derailment from sky force 10. That shows the massive devastation of the deadly Train Derailment. First responders working by spotlight pulling victims from the wreckage. 5 people dead 140 people hurt some critically. Amtrak service between down this morning. Theyve dispatched a full crew from washington to start looking for the cause of the derailment. This all happened around 9 30 last night and the scene, this is the closest we can get, wheatsheaf and frankford. This train was bound for new york and it derailed. Weve launched sky force 10. There was a curve in the area where the accident happened but he wouldnt speculate on the speed of the train or what else may have happened at the time of the crash.
