Well, right now, contra costa county, thats 80 behind me there. To be clear, were only talking about the westbound lanes. The eastbound lanes do remain open. Theres not a lot of traffic at the moment and that is because folks are still on holiday. But later today as people start coming home from a b from tahoe or sacramento, there could start to be a backup. Lets going take a look at some video here now. The westbound lanes of i80 between solano and contra costa counties has been closed. Caltrans expecting to reopen them tuesday morning. But those returning to the bay area today will face a detour around the roadwork kron. 4 Charles Clifford has an update on that work being done. Charles . Yeah. Caltrans says that they are on schedule to reopen westbound tomorrow morning. However, we are starting to see some backup on the detour which goes through benicia and that could get worse as we head into the evening hours. Westbound lanes of interstate 80 between 7. 80, in vallejo on highway 4 in hercules were closed down last thursday evening on friday, caltrans tore up several miles of the westbound lanes.
