jane: it s the top of the hour. we re watching deadly riots across athens, greece, today. hi, everybody, i m jane skinner. three people have been killed, they were trapped in a burning bank. the building was torched by protesters. there s a nationwide strike against these new austerity measures, and it has turned violent, as you can see. the government has been forced to make cuts in return for a bailout that will save greece from bankruptcy, but people are not happy. police using tear gas to try to disperse the tens of thousands of rioters, we ll keep you updated. the car bomb the nypd found in times square on saturday night was not the only attempted terrorist attack on our city since 9/11. far from it, and, sadly, we
in the streets of athens, greece. as the nationwide strike there turns deadly. three people died inside a bank set on fire during protests of the government s spending cuts. harsh austerity measures demanded in return for a european bailout to save greece from national bankruptcy. police making heavy use of tear gas there. a 24-hour nationwide strike has grounded all flights to and from greece, shutting down ports, schools, transportation, and government services in the process. it s also left hospitals working with emergency-only medical staff. jane: the latest plan to stop the oil gushing into the gulf of mexico. bp is about to try something that has never been tried before. we re going to show you what is in store for this giant containment dome, as it s called. also, it started as a dare, just fun for college kids, let s jump off that dam! but go figure. we ll show you how things
