The International Teqball Federation has donated 30 tables to the
Olympic Committee of North Macedonia as it hosts the first leg of the
European Teqball Tour in Skopje.
Three of the four sides that qualified for the 2022 IHF Women’s Youth (U18) World Championship semi-finals got here with a six-game winning streak, while only one of the four sides – the Netherlands – have lost a game so far.
Denmark will be favoured against a Netherlands side who will be missing one of their top players, while the Republic of Korea eye to avenge the semi-final loss against Hungary from four years ago, at Poland 2018.
The main round at the 2022 IHF Women’s Youth World Championship continues on the seventh day of the competition, with three teams aiming to clinch their quarter-final berths in Group III and Group IV, joining Iceland, Egypt and Denmark, who have already sealed safe passage to the knock-out phase.
Those three sides can progress to the next phase if they secure their fourth win in a row in the competition, edging closer to a much-coveted medal.
The first day of the main round at the 2022 IHF Women’s Youth World Championship can already deliver the first quarter-finalists, provided that the teams that start with two points after the preliminary round will win their matches.
Denmark are definitely the favourites to proceed, as they meet Croatia in Group II, while Iceland can make a huge step towards the quarter-finals at their maiden tournament if they beat the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Denmark, Egypt, Iceland and the Republic of Korea are the teams who have already qualified for the quarter-final phase, after some superb handball, which saw them avoid defeat in the competition so far.
But the other four quarter-final spots are up for grabs at the 2022 IHF Women’s Youth (U18) World Championship, with no room for mistake for contenders like Hungary and France.
