Ten days of handball are ahead of us, as the IHF Women’s Youth World Championship finally returns after a four-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the first-ever IHF Women’s Youth World Championship with 32 teams at the start, with 116 games spread over the next 10 days, deciding who will be the new world champions. This a question that will find its answer in Skopje, as three venues host the 32 best sides in the world right now.
GROUP A
Three of the four sides that qualified for the 2022 IHF Women’s Youth (U18) World Championship semi-finals got here with a six-game winning streak, while only one of the four sides – the Netherlands – have lost a game so far.
Denmark will be favoured against a Netherlands side who will be missing one of their top players, while the Republic of Korea eye to avenge the semi-final loss against Hungary from four years ago, at Poland 2018.
