Jane Sholts Fetterly, 84, a columnist for the Palm Beach Daily News, died Sunday, March 28, 2021, after a brief illness.
She wrote the Business Notes and Bits n People columns for the Palm Beach Daily News for the past 15 years and was women s editor of The Palm Beach Post in the 1960s.
Mrs. Fetterly also was public relations director for The Society of the Four Arts for 19 years and worked as an administrative assistant for former Palm Beach County Commissioners Dorothy Wilken and the late Maude Ford Lee. Mom was a bit of an amalgam for all things communications in Palm Beach County, from her writing and public relations careers to her work for the county, said son Mark Fetterly, a theater teacher at Wellington High School.

Hedrick Brothers Construction Company in West Palm Beach has announced three team promotions.
Sean Burnie is now vice-president of pre-construction and business development for the Commercial Division. He joined the company in 2017.
Robin Lunsford has been promoted to senior project executive for the Commercial Division. He joined the company in 1995 as a superintendent and has held several executive titles.
Heather Thomas has been promoted to the position of controller. She served as an accounting manager and has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
New PBAU trustee: James J. Johnston has joined the board of trustees of Palm Beach Atlantic University. He was president of beverage concentrates and Latin American beverages for Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and worked for nearly three decades for the company. Recently retired, he and his wife Kate live in Stuart.

The Center for Family Services in West Palm Beach (CFS) will celebrate its 60th anniversary on March 12 with a diamond jubilee at The Colony. Co-chairwomen of the event will be
Karen Swanson and
Daniella Ortiz.
Activities include an Old Bags luncheon at a Palm Beach restaurant, a designer handbag silent auction, a shopping experience on Worth Avenue and a cocktail party at The Colony. The goal is to raise funds for CFS mental-health programs and support local businesses.
