Farmers firm: Won t back off, even if told by courts : The Tribune India

Aditi Tandon New Delhi, January 9 Agitating farmers today said they would not back down from legitimate protests against the farm laws, even if the court tells them to. After a meeting with their legal representatives here, farm union representatives said they would only implead in the Supreme Court in the pending petitions seeking removal of protesters from Delhi borders and not in any matter regarding the constitutionality of the farm laws. Another suicide at Tikri New Delhi: A young farmer from Fatehgarh Sahib Amrinder Singh died by consuming poison at the Singhu border on Saturday.
