Leh, Dec 10: The second edition of Ladakh Literature Festival with the theme of “Ladakh at the Crossroads” was virtually inaugurated by the Lieutenant Governor UT Ladakh, R K Mathur here today.
CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroze Ahmad Khan, MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgial, Dy. CEC, LAHDC Leh Tsering Angchuk, EC Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel, EC Rural Tashi Namgyal, EC Minorities Ghulam Medhi, Commissioner Secretary Tourism, Rigzin Samphel, Director Tourism, Kunzes Angmo, Assistant Director Tourism Jigmet Namgial, Executive Director, LAMO Dr Monisha Ahmad, Ordained Dharmacharya Teacher Shantum Seth, Author James Crowden, former AD Tourism, Kargil, Ex-Director CIBS, Executive members of ALTOA and AKTTA, and prominent local scholars, writers and artists virtually attended the inaugural session.

The three Day festival will host a series of talks, importance of the region, ancient knowledge of Ladakh, Folk music, cultural Dance, geology and wildlife of Himalayas and several interesting topics on YouTube and Facebook streaming. On this occasion, Mr Mathur said, Ladakh and its rich culture have generated a vast and reassuring interest among the literature enthusiasts all over the world. He said that Ladakh having an amalgamation of different cultural influences from India, Central Asia and Tibet gives the region and its people a unique cultural identity.
