BOWLING GREEN, Ohio Bowling Green State University on Friday announced independent counsel findings and student conduct violations in the hazing death of BGSU sophomore Stone Foltz.
Foltz, 20, died on March 7, days after an alcohol-fueled fraternity hazing incident at a party off-campus in Bowling Green.
Alex Solis, deputy chief of staff and university spokesperson, issued the following statement regarding the outside special counsel report executive summary and the ongoing individual student conduct processes:

He died March 7 - three nights after he was allegedly forced to drink an entire bottle of alcohol, about 40 shots, during a fraternity hazing ritual
The suit names the national Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, local chapter and 20 individuals allegedly involved in the ritual
The student s parents are seeking at least $25,000 in compensatory and punitive damages

COLUMBUS, Ohio The family of a Bowling Green State University student who died following a hazing incident has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against a fraternity and several of its members, including residents of Cleveland and Mentor.
WBNS Channel 10 reports the lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Franklin County Common Pleas court by lawyers for the family of Stone Foltz, 20, who died in early March, three days after attending a Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity event at an off-campus location.
The lawsuit says Foltz was forced to drink the equivalent of 40 shots of liquor in about 20 minutes, WTOL Channel 11 reports.

The parents of Bowling Green State University student Stone Foltz have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against a fraternity and some of its members over his alleged hazing death.
The civil lawsuit was filed in Franklin County Common Pleas on Tuesday.
“By filing a civil complaint on behalf of Stone Foltz and the Foltz family, we are doing what is necessary to hold the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity, the local fraternity chapter, and individuals accountable for their behavior that led to Stone Foltz’s death, attorney Rex Elliot said.
