Less than a month after being sworn-in as a state senator for the Hampden district Sen. Adam Gomez, D-Springfield, has decided to step down as the city’s Ward 1 city councilor to put all of his focus on his new position.
“These are unprecedented times that we live in. The COVID-19 pandemic has created new, unique, and demanding challenges on both a municipal and state level for all Massachusetts residents. The residents of Springfield’s Ward 1 deserve someone who can serve them fully,” Gomez said.
