<p><span xml:lang="EN" lang="EN">The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today issued an order </span><span xml:lang="EN" lang="EN">simultaneously </span><span xml:lang="EN" lang="EN">filing and settling charges against HSBC Bank USA, N.A. (HSBC), a provisionally registered swap dealer. The order charges HSBC with manipulative and deceptive trading related to swaps with bond issuers, spoofing, and supervision and mobile device recordkeeping failures at various times </span><span>during approximately an eight-year period. </span></p>
<p><span>The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced the U.S. Court for the Southern District of New York entered an order and a final judgment against Danish resident Casper Mikkelsen, a/k/a Carsten Nielsen, a/k/a Brian Thomson, a/k/a Thomas Jensen, a/k/a Casper Muller, permanently prohibiting him from trading commodity interests, and ordering him to pay $1,191,286 in restitution and a $3,573,860 penalty, which is triple the profits Mikkelsen made committing this fraud.</span></p>
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today issued an order simultaneously filing and settling charges against JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, and J.P. Morgan Securities plc (collectively, JPMorgan), for failing to maintain, preserve, and produce records that were required to be kept under CFTC recordkeeping requirements, and failing to diligently supervise matters related to its businesses as CFTC registrants.
