Police have named the man who killed two people and injured several more in a terror attack in central london. Officers shot dead usman khan on London Bridge. Its been revealed that he was convicted of terrorism offences in 2012 and had been released from prison on licence in december of last year. Simon jones has more details. This was an attack that brought terror back to the streets of london. A man and a woman killed before the attacker was shot dead on friday afternoon on London Bridge. Now, during the night the police have named the man who was shot dead as usman khan. He was 28 years old from staffordshire in the midlands here in the uk. Now, he is a convicted terrorist. He was jailed back in 2012 for a plot to bomb the london stock exchange. He was initially given what was called an indeterminate sentence, meaning he could be kept in jail for as long as was deemed necessary, for as long as was deemed he was a threat to the public.
