Israelis have been killed. The Gaza Ministry of health says 400 and 13 palestinians have been killed by israeli air strikes in gaza, including 78 children. The israeli army also says more than 400 Palestinian Militants have been killed after infiltrating Southern Israel, with dozens more captured. Israel says it is still trying to regain full control of eight areas where hamas militants infiltrated following saturdays attack. The number of israeli civilians and soldiers taken hostage has been put at 100 by the Israeli Embassy to the us, though some have been freed. In northern israel, hezbollah rockets targeted three military positions, with israel responding with barrages of artillery into Southern Lebanon. The Un Security Council is meeting in new york to discuss the situation. 0ur middle east correspondent Yolande Knell has the latest on the conflict.
