He went into the water to swim to the other side of the creek but he never made it back to shore. It is a beautiful spot where Little Hunting Creek meets potomac river, popular with anglers. This morning, there are police boats instead of fishermen, for the search of a missing 16yearold continues. The coast guard brought in their search and rescue chopper, boats equipped with sonar are searching the water. Shortly after 8 00 last night when a teenager went into the water trying to cross from one side of the creek to the other. He got about halfway before he began to struggle by the channel marker where the water gets deep. The current was going out at that time. He was drifting out.
