LOUISVILLE, Ky. The doors to a college education too often locked for Louisville s most disadvantaged children will be pushed open over the next four years for thousands of Jefferson County Public Schools graduates, thanks in part to a new $3 million philanthropic donation announced Monday.
The donation from the James Graham Brown Foundation bolsters an already multimillion dollar fund raised by Evolve502, a local nonprofit established in 2018 as part of a coordinated civic, business and educational effort to ensure more Jefferson County children make it to and through college. I don t think we can magnify enough the impact of this scholarship, JCPS Superintendent Marty Pollio said during a morning press conference at Iroquois High School.
