As we look for ways to enjoy our surroundings especially wide-open spaces without crowds of people there’s no better place than the beaches to rent a bike or kayak, or to lace up your sneakers for a hike. Here’s a guide to outdoor excursions around the Delaware beaches that you can enjoy solo or with a small group.

Since 2011, the center’s shorezone fish and blue crab survey has been collecting data on local fish and blue crab species, such as this summer flounder. The Center for the Inland Bays’ newest volunteer program, the osprey survey, will set a baseline for the number of currently active osprey nests in the Inland Bays watershed.
