Williams friends and neighbors are remembering the man who made them laugh. Reporter as the flowers pile up outside Robin Williams tiburon home, so are the memories. Comic legend around marin county. College of marin drama teacher james dunn says during a production of oliver, he knew a star was born. I went home and told my wife that night, i said, i just seen something amazing. And i said, this young man is going to make it big in this business. And he did. Reporter with the fond memories also came the sad reality of robins final hours. It is unknown at this time when mr. Williams retired for the evening in a bedroom in his home. At approximately 10 30 a. M. , on august 11, 2014, mr. Williams wife left the home believing mr. Williams to still be asleep. Reporter at 11 45 monday morning, robins assistant knocked on his bedroom door concerned and then forced her way in. She called 911 but the star was already gone, dead from asphyxia after hanging himself from a door frame with a belt.
