We realized taking out in a primary the son of a longtime leader is something thats quite remarkable. I dont care if youre white, black or purple. But senator scott is a black man and only the fourth black man to serve as a u. S. Senator since reconstruction along with the great edward brook, barack obama, and my Law School Buddy cory booker. Theyve worked together in a number of efforts. Part of the area where senator scott has really reached across the aisle is the area were talking about today, criminal Justice Reform. With no plan being put forward, not clear what the plan really is. You laminate the Affordable Care act and offer nothing in return. They tell the American People you are on your own. They tried to repeal or undermine it more than 65 times in congress and failed. Now they are trying to overturn the law in court and attempting to ram a Supreme Court nominee through to do what they failed to do through the legislative process. After saying we ought not to consider a Supreme Court nominee in an Election Year because we will let the people speak.
