PPP leader escapes murderous attack

A local leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) escaped a murderous attack on Tuesday. According to PPP District East General Secretary Lala Raheem, the incident took place on the Super Highway, adding that some unidentified persons hit his security guards’ vehicle.
“As soon as the accident occurred, I slowed down my vehicle and within a second the motorcyclists opened fire on my car,” he said. “I remained unhurt because my vehicle is bulletproof.”
Raheem said that the assailants then rode towards Jamali Goth. Following the incident, police reached the crime scene and initiated further investigations. No case had been registered till the filing of this news report on Tuesday night.

There are about 254 huts on the 5km Hawke s Bay strip.
The Sindh government is planning to invite private investors to develop Hawkeâs Bay beach with three-star hotels and huts for which it has cancelled leases and is going to have to evict and demolish 254 huts.
This strip of beach is KMC land and stretches 5km and approximately 387 acres. It is flanked by beach owned by KPT and the Board of Revenue. The beach has an A, A1 and S series. A series is plots facing the beach and the others are behind it.

KARACHI: An antiterrorism court on Monday sentenced the prayer leader of a mosque located on Superhighway to over 25 years in prison for raising funds for the outlawed Jamaatud Dawa (JuD).
The court also ordered the provincial education department to take over and forfeit the mosque/seminary in Malir used by JuD for generating money to fund terrorist activities across the country.
On Monday, the ATC-XII judge, who conducted the trial in the judicial complex inside the central prison, pronounced the verdict against prayer leader Ghulam Rasool Rabbani and imposed a fine of Rs2.2 million on him.

New Delhi: An anti-terrorism court in Karachi sentenced a prayer leader of a mosque, Ghulam Rasool Rabbani, to over 25 years in prison for raising funds for banned outfit Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Tuesday, according to local media reports.
This comes just days after JuD chief and Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed was sentenced to 15 and a half years in jail in a terror financing case.
