Youth killed, minor boy wounded in firing incidents

A young man was killed and a minor boy wounded on Sunday in the Sohrab Goth and Ibrahim Hyderi areas of the city respectively.
A youth killed in a firing incident in Jamali Goth in the Sohrab Goth area. Police and rescue workers reached the scene and transported the casualty to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Khuda Buksh, son of Gul Muhammad. Police suspected that the incident apparently took place over a personal enmity.
Separately, a minor boy identified as 11-year-old Waris was wounded in a firing incident in Ibrahim Hyderi. He was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
KARACHI: A 25-year-old man was shot dead off Superhighway on Sunday.
Police said that Khuda Bux was gunned down by armed men travelling in a car near Jamali Goth. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Sohrab Goth SHO Mehboob Elahi said that the murder appeared to be the outcome of dispute over a girl’s issue.
He added that the victim used to talk to a girl belonging to the Mehsud tribe and living within the neighbourhood over phone which was not liked by her relatives.
The police have registered a murder case against two suspects, one of them identified as Khairullah.

Police said the incident took place during a clash at an estate agency. The suspects involved in the incident fled the scene after firing. Police have registered a case.

KARACHI: Law enforcers on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four suspected militants linked with proscribed Sindh Revolutionary Army (SRA).
A team of Rangers and counter-terrorism department personnel carried out an action in the Pehlwan Goth locality near Rabia City in Gulistan-i-Jauhar and detained four suspects Sajjad Ali, Mohsin Raza, Naushad Ali and Aslam Beg, according to a CTD spokesperson.
It said that the suspects belonged to SRA’s Asghar Shah alias Sajjad Shah group, according to him. “They were involved in recent grenade attacks on Rangers’ posts and mobile vans,” he said, adding that 13 members of the outfit had already been arrested by the CTD.
