Jul. 20 Five murder suspects arrested over the past several months were released from jail after the Stanislaus County District Attorney s Office declined to file charges against them.
The office has cited a need for additional evidence to file charges, but some fear there could be more violence or the suspects could get away before that happens. My son is dead and they are out there walking the streets; it s not fair, said Athan Hicks, the mother of one of the victims, Evan Robinson. It s just unbelievable, it s crazy, it s sad. I m sad every day for my son.
