The toughest leg of the race came through the bay area on one of the hottest days of the year. This is where the 100 plus mile ride started this morning near raging waters. At the start of the race, it was already 82 degrees. The ride took them through san ramon valley. It was grueling not only for them, but for the spectators as well. Theyre animals.
