East Naples man who went viral for racist rant released from jail

NAPLES, Fla. – The man caught on camera yelling racist slurs at an East Naples stoplight in August has been released from jail.
Jeffrey Rouse’s attorney, Mike Carr said he is a changed man since the 30-second clip went viral.
The video caught the attention of Collier County Sheriffs, who received calls about two vandalized political signs with racist graffiti just a week before the video was taken.
Investigators said just before Rouse punched his ticket to the Naples Jail Center, he led deputies on a high-speed chase. That’s when Rouse hired Carr.
