well, good morning to you. welcome to mornings on 2. i m dave clark. good morning. i m tori campbell. we do have new information coming in right now about a dramatic rescue in the waters off richmond. ktvu s kraig debro is with two of the victims right now. what can you tell us? what did they tell you? reporter: well, four fishermen went out early this morning to fish for alba door to fish for albacore. right now, this boat is in the water. we can t see from here but thanks to everybody at channel 2 at the desk, it looks like we can see the boat is going down facility water. i m going to talk to thomas deacon. he s completely soaked. he s been in the water. you must be cold. what do you remember? we went out, hit a wall, pulled one out. there was cpr. don t know about one guy. reporter: what did it sound like when you hit the rock wall? basically, a car accident. reporter: it must have been very dark at that time. you are right about that. reporter: what
home has smoke and water damage. the water was in my carpet. yeah. it was like a crazy moment. we didn t know what to do. reporter: pg&e today gave the city of san bruno a check for $3 million. the mayor says the city is still tallying the overtime and the cost to infrastructure. i believe their commitment in good faith to at least help people out that need money right now. reporter: residents we spoke with said it s a good start but express doubt they did all they could. at least they are trying to help. otherwise, i mean, they should have done much better job. they need to give something back to the community because the people down there, they are pretty hurt. reporter: a portion of the neighborhood is still considered a crime scene. for the first time it appeared that crews were able to work in the crater. the ntsb said that could have clues about what caused the explosion. the ntsb is looking for more video recorded on a nearby gas station. watch the upper
61 in san francisco. 70s in santa rose and napa. the seven-day forecast is coming up. back to you. thank you. inspect your pipelines. that s what the state is telling pacific gas and electric after last week s deadly explosion and fires on the peninsula. anne makovec is in san bruno this morning, where federal officials are still trying to find the cause of the blast, good morning. reporter: good morning. they are going to be trying to find the cause for months before it s actually confirmed. but they say that they will let us know as soon as new information comes in on exactly what caused this pipeline explosion. here in san bruno, the investigation continues this morning. the ntsb has been collecting evidence from around the blast site, pieces of the pipeline exploded on thursday leaving this crater in the ground in the middle of a neighborhood. the ruptured line was in a high concentration area so it should have more inspections. pg&e says the line was slated to be r
