on. what's bart looking like right now? >> you know, liz, it's not looking much better right now. we are still seeing major bart delays around 20 minutes for bart. again, this is due to an equipment problem at sfo and millbrae. so 20 to 30 minutes for eastbound trains. we are seeing some stop and go conditions already on 580. i'll have details on that coming up in my next report. right now, you need your forecast. here's tracy. >> , yeah, you do, totally need that. here's a look at your highs today. 78 degrees in concord, lower to mid-70s in santa rosa and napa. yesterday 69 in san rafael, today 61 in san francisco. 72 in redwood city. 74 san jose. we'll have more bay area cities and today's high temperatures in just a few moments. back to you. >> thank you. inspect your pine lines. pacific gas and electric after -- that's what the state is telling pacific gas and electric after last week's deadly explosion and fires on the peninsula. anne makovec is in san bruno this morning, where federal officials are still trying to find the cause of the blast, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. they are going to be trying to find the cause for months before it's actually confirmed. but they say that they will let us know as soon as new information comes in on exactly what caused this pipeline explosion. here in san bruno, the investigation continues this morning. thousands of miles of pipeline will have to be inspected by pg&e as this investigation, of course, continues. the ntsb has been collecting evidence from around the blast site, pieces of the pipeline exploded on thursday leaving this crater in the ground in the middle of a neighborhood. the ruptured line was in a high concentration area so it should -- high consequence area, so it should get more stringent inspections. pg&e says the line was slated to be replaced according to documents. now, pieces of it have become evidence instead, including a 28-foot section ripped out of the ground and tossed 100 feet into the air by the blast. it's being shipped to washington, d.c. as part of the investigation. another big part of the investigation, whether or not there was a gas smell reported to pg&e in the days before the explosion. >> we are not able to find instances of people who reported an odor and we would ask anybody who says that they reported smelling gas to contact us through whatever means. >> reporter: what do you say when pg&e says we never received any calls about gas? >> that's a lie, because you can smell and then if the guy was -- and then the guy was walking around there. >> reporter: that guy he is referring to is apparently an pg&e employee whom he thought was inspecting the pipeline. the ntsb is asking anyone who might have smelled gas to please contact them as soon as possible. they have a special email address, one word, sanbruno@ntsb.gov. we have that on our website, cbs5.com. we are trying to figure out whether the cause of the blast was a well failure impact construction or metal fatigue and they are going to have to figure it out. another press conference by jackie speier congresswoman, with all the agencies. she is holding a press conference here in san bruno for the latest on all of it. and of course, we'll bring it to you. back to you. >> thank you. anne makovec in san bruno. as of right now, four people are confirmed dead in the blast. among the victims, jacqueline grieg and her 13-year-old daughter janessa. and 20-year-old jessica morales. the coroner still working to identify the fourth victim. the coroner says more remains have been found but it's not clear if they are from victims already accounted for. it's also not clear if there are animal remains. that leaves four people still unaccounted for. three parishioners of a san bruno church are among the missing. they are 50-year-old greg bullis and his 16-year-old son and his elderly mother. a family member says she believes these three were inside the house at the time of the explosion. as for those hospitalized, four victims are still at saint francis memorial hospital in san francisco. three are in critical condition with life-threatening burns over 50% of their bodies. one is in serious but stable condition. san francisco general is also treating four patients for burns and smoke inhalation. two are critical. many of those who had to evacuate have been allowed back to their homes, some temporarily, others will get to stay. a total of 377 homes in the fire area were evacuated. those who live in 294 of those homes were allowed back to stay. in nine homes, people had to gather their belongings and leave again. among them was jerry hiller. he stood on his front lawn thursday evening and took photos of the flames. that was just a few houses away. once the gas was turned off he felt it was finally safe to go back inside. >> so i went to bed. i didn't sleep that good. but i went to bed. and then i get up in the morning, and i find out i'm sitting in a crime scene. >> hiller was forced to evacuate the next day. as for the other 83 houses, those are closer to the main burn site and they are either destroyed or considered too damaged for people to enter at this point. those people expect to find out today when they will be able to see what's left. a meeting for them is scheduled for 10:00 this morning at the san bruno senior center that's on crystal springs road. we also want to let you know schools in the area are scheduled to be open today. all eight schools in the san bruno park district were closed friday because of the fire. but all will resume classes today. the same goes for parkside intermediate school. for up-to-the-minute developments from san bruno, log on to our website, cbs5.com. let's get our first look at traffic and weather for this hour. gianna, we check the commute. >> i wish i had better news but bart commuters we have delays of 20 to 30 minutes four sfo and millbrae due to an equipment problem eastbound. give yourself extra time. if you plan to take the freeways not a bad idea, no delays on 101 along the peninsula. everything looks good. if you are taking the golden gate bridge or actually the bay bridge, rather, traffic cruising along, no delays at the toll plaza. here's a look at your forecast. tracy? many returned home to their devastated neighborhood over the weekend. for the folks whose homes were destroyed in the fire, they will get an update this morning. pg&e is being ordered to inspect thousands of miles of its natural gas pipe lines so that no other neighborhoods end up like this. they are supposed to put a pry order on inspecting high pressure transmission lines in densely populated neighborhoods. the ntsb has been collecting evidence around the site, pieces of the pipe that exploded on thursday leaving a crater in the ground the ruptured segment in a high consequence area. that means it should get more stringent inspections. pg&e says the line was actually slated to be replaced. now pieces of it have become evidence instead including a 28- foot section ripped out of the ground by the blast. it is now being shipped to washington, d.c. as part of this investigation. another big part of the investigation, whether or not there was a gas smell reported to pg&e in the days before the explosion. apparently, if there was some sort of gas leak, pg&e says there would also have been some dead vegetation around the area so anybody who has any information on any of that is asked to email this email address that's sanbruno@ntsb.gov. they are looking for any information that you can provide. we have that email address also on cbs5.com. we'll expect a lot more
