Just 15 minutes ago, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Moquegua, Provincia de Mariscal Nieto, Departamento de Moquegua, Peru. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Saturday 22 May 2021 at 9:35 am local time, at a shallow depth of 21 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
