Crews here respond to an Early Morning house fire that killed an elderly woman and a 6yearold boy that were trapped inside. All thats left of this home is charred wood, a hollow structure and a roof partially burned down. Charles county along with three other Fire Departments received a call of a fire after 12 30. When they arrive, the home was engulfed in flames. They encountered very heavy fire conditions throughout the dwelling with the report of someone trapped. They immediately went to work. Phil smith is the spokesperson for the Charles County fire department. He said four people who lived inside were able to make it out. But after the fire was extinguished, a 6yearold boy and a 68yearold woman were found dead inside. Fire marshals spent hours investigating the cause while devastated Family Members stood close by hoping to understand how and why this happened.
