Around the country Saturday people celebrated Trio Day a holiday dedicated to helping the communities they are a part of. Continuing their acts of service into Sunday, Trio Upward Bound and students from Lincoln Public Schools aided The Clyde Malone Center by cleaning the grounds and building.
On Saturday, hundreds of people gathered near the capitol building to show their support in the efforts to end the war. One of those supporters was Constantine Syniy who was surrounded by the familiar yellow and blue colors of the Ukrainian flag.
As church service bells rang at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, instead of making their way home many from the local congregation gathered to serve those in need. Walking into the Family Center gymnasium, 400 volunteers put on aprons and hair nets to get to prepare family sized meal kits.
This year's combination included: Caramel deLites and Delirium Red Belgian Fruit Ale, Adventurefuls and Pour Single Barrel Stout, Thin Mints and Founders Brewing Co. Porter, and Lemonades and Avery White Rascal Witbier
