Home, vehicles struck by gunfire in Jackson

JACKSON, MI Two parked vehicles and a home were damaged by gunfire in Jackson on Saturday, police said.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 5:10 a.m. April 17, to the 2000 block of Woodsum Street after a report of shots fired in the area, Jackson Director of Police and Fire Services Elmer Hitt said. They found the home and two vehicles associated with it had been struck by gunfire, Hitt said.
The residents were home at the time of the incident, but there were no reported injuries, Hitt said.

JACKSON, MI A truck and other items were stolen during a Tuesday break-in at a Jackson storage building, police said.
An officer was dispatched to to the storage facility in the 700 block of East South St., at 8:48 a.m., March 30, Jackson Director of Police and Fire Services Elmer Hitt said.
A storage building for Bart’s Asphalt was broken into sometime within the past two weeks, Hitt said. A blue 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 truck was stolen, along with additional tools and equipment, he said.
