Dec. 21 Each of the three seasons Kevin Durant was on the Warriors, he visited Oakland Elizabeth House a non-profit that helps mothers who have dealt with domestic violence, addiction or extreme poverty the week before Christmas.
For about an hour, Durant handed presents to moms and their children, posed for pictures and signed autographs before writing a check to the organization for more than $15,000. These annual stops became one of the year’s biggest highlights for Oakland Elizabeth House not just because it offered hope to its families, but because Durant’s donations helped keep the organization open.
