Troy police welcome four new officers to department during ceremony

Joining the department ranks are Jack Engster, Katherine Molesky, David Grant, and Kevin Koberger. Troy Police Chief Brian Owens addressed the new quartet and welcomed them to the department. - Advertisement - This is an important day for our department and city. We have been impressed by their connections to the city of Troy and their choice to work in a busy urban environment. We have spoken with numerous people in the community who know them and they are each highly regarded, Owens continued.

(Will Waldron/Times Union)Will Waldron TROY – The Troy Police Department swore in four new officers Friday afternoon at City Hall in a ceremony limited to family members due to the coronavirus pandemic. The city’s newest officers are Jack Engster, Katherine A. Molesky, David Grant and Kevin Koberger. Engster became a part owner of Manory’s, the city’s oldest restaurant, before deciding to join the police force.  His great-grandfather was a city police officer. Molesky is the daughter of Deputy Police Chief Daniel DeWolf. She is a graduate of the College of St. Rose and previously worked in the Troy City School District.
