win, but as you mention we re in mid-may. last week is the last week the senate is supposed to be in session until the end of may. we ll see if they actually take that recess, but now this meeting has been postponed there are several schools of thought. you and i, jonathan, have covered many of these negotiations. we often tend to see staff tend to make real earnest progress than the principles do, which is largely messaging when they re so far apart and this is political. so staff negotiations will continue today. we expect the four leaders to meet some time early next week. you heard mccarthy say this isn t any one leader s fault, this is collective postponement. one individual had to attend a funeral as we re told today. but the bottom line americans are sitting here wondering what s going to happen, because this is still a game of chicken and they re caught in the middle of it and the clock it ticking. the president returns on monday. we ll see when that meeting gets
