the foundation and the street we re on, all the homes look like this, completely destroyed. we were actually closer to it, had to step away. we heard it creeking. they are very unsettled and risk of them falling in is still there. we did move back. it is devastating. you can imagine the fear in people as the waters rose. you would never imagine that the water would get this high. this is normally a very calm river. the river gauge was broken at 43 feet. there s really no way to know how high the water got but definitely to the second story in this home. it just broke 43 feet. it s so remarkable. people in your line of work are just sort of gob smacked by the sheer power of this volume of water. jennifer, quickly, we re still talking about a lot of missing people and i heard the father of one of the missing families talk about just dozens upon dozens of searchers who are fanning out across i massive area, trying to find these missing people. where you are in wimberley, this
dots, 6.2, 6.5, every day. reporter: and reports now that for the next three days a 40% chance of aftershocks 5 or above. bob bazell, thanks so much. i know you ve gotten no sleep at all. thanks for talking to us. one more thing, richard, about these aftershocks. today i was on the 14th floor of our hotel. you could feel one. unlike anything i ve ever felt. these buildings are meant to withstand these shocks but for a good several minutes you could hear the building swaying. you could hear it creeking like an old bed. it was unbelievable. in some sense, it shows you just how well these buildings are built. they re meant to withstand thatme movement. on the other hand, to say the least it s unsettling. with bob saying, millions entering the fourth night in the cold, this has been a devastating at the very least
