Human rights and pro-democracy group, Take It Back Movement (TIB) has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of the organisers of the protests against the demolition of poor homes in Mosafejo Oworonshoki community in Lagos State. The group made this known in a statement posted on its X (formerly Twitter) handle, accusing the monarch of Mosafejo-Oworonshoki of being behind the arrest of three people for protesting against the demolition in the community which has led to the displacement of thousands of people.

Human rights and pro-democracy group, Take It Back Movement (TIB) has raised an alarm over a planned clampdown on students of the University of Jos, Plateau State by the Department of State Services (DSS) for planning to protest against arbitrary hike in tuition fee in the school. Describing the planned clampdown on students as unconstitutional and a breach of their human rights, as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as (amended), TIB stated that protest is a right.

Mr. Atubi Johnson Oghenekevwe, a registered surety accused of diverting the sum of N200,000 collected to fulfil the bail condition for the Delta State Take-It-Back Movement Coordinator, Ighorhiohwunu Aghogho, detained by the police, has refunded the money. The human rights activist was arrested and detained by the police in Delta State, south-south and later detained on trumped-up charges of “cyberstalking, giving false information to the police, and defamation of character”.
