Israel killed a senior Palestinian militant commander in Gaza on Monday in air strikes which it said also targeted underground tunnels used by Hamas, and Islamist groups renewed rocket attacks on Israeli cities.
The violence entered a second week with no sign of an end to the fiercest hostilities in the region in years, despite growing international concern and mounting calls for a ceasefire.

India on Sunday called for immediate de-escalation of the situation between Israel and Palestine at a United Nations Security Council meeting. The statement came as violence continues in the region that began this month following weeks-long tension between the two sides.
The 12-story block in Gaza City brought down by Israeli airstrikes housed the U.S. Associated Press and Qatar-based Al Jazeera media operations. The Israel military said it was a legitimate military target.
Israel s bombardment of the Gaza Strip continued into early Saturday, when an airstrike on a house in Gaza City killed at least seven Palestinians the highest number of fatalities in a single hit.

Nizamabad: Telugu people in Israel in grip of fear as clashes between Israel and Palestinian continued. There are around 10,000 people from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh living in various parts of Israel. Around 1,000 people from undivided Nizamabad, Adilabad and Karimnagar districts have also gone to Israel in search of livelihood.
The family members of Israel migrants are worrying over the safety of their beloved ones during the war like situation. The kin of migrants get in touch with migrants over video calls and social media apps. For the last three days, they are constantly contacting the migrants to know their well-being.
