by proof. that s why mueller believes him. it s not a personality contest. why is it never enough for those who support the president to point out lying. why isn t a pattern of lying to the american people about things that matter in moments that matter, not impressive, doesn t mean it s illegal. we re talking about political judgment here, and political consequences. can t lying add it up in a pattern that we re starting to see here matter? right, like you said, lying, obviously lying to congress is a crime, lying to investigators is a crime, lying to the people is not necessarily a crime, but that doesn t make it ethical. i think that mueller s team did exactly what you said. they re not going to take cohen s word for it. they re going to investigate, verify. they have documents, financial records, they have other witnesses that they talked to that they put into a grand jury.

theory before. i don t know that the secular progressive attack sticks. there s a lot of querkyness. i think you framed it just right. this is again a crazy cycle. could ben carson being this inconsistent and having this many questions raised for people still be the republican nominee? i think he can be if no one else rises up as a challenger. there are other strong candidates that will challenge him. this isn t a pattern of exaggeration that speaks to
he s going to have no to the justice that even some of his graduates, that isn t a pattern of trouble with the truth or rarelessness or exand rag. i m not saying that it does but he s got to reassure people that it doesn t. jon, you and i remember bus you re such an old man, such a learned man, we remember some of the things that ronald reagan said in 1976 in his campaign against gary ford and in 1980 against jimmy carter. obviously reagan is my political hero but reagan would go around saying things like trees are the largest emitter of carbon
here s him very honestly talking about what he would have done had he found himself in that shower at that moment. john richie right here. i can t imagine seeing what he saw. when i try to put myself in that position and conceptualize my defensive coordinator, jerry sandusky doing what he is aalleged to have done in that shower to that little boy, that victim, at that point in time, my mind would be gone. i would flee. i would run. i would try to grasp exactly what i had seen. my world would be turned upside down. you know, chris, we ve seen this serial number of accusations here but what i think happening is that people who witness this, janitors or assistant coaches, is they took it and in their mind they said, this is an isolated incident. this isn t a pattern.
